Message	powdercoating is a 'cover material'. just like common enamel paint, only epoxy/plasticizer based. anodizing is a chemical conversion of metal. depending on the type and time (duration) of anodizing, the coating can be so thin as to come off with a finger nail, or so thick a hammer will NOT penetrate it. colors are all part of the final 'wash' that is used. any color can be done on all common alloys. the time, expense, and expertise required to anodize makes it less desirable then PowderCoating.
